The Chamber's Government Affairs Committee works to create and sustain a favorable business environment in which all businesses can grow and prosper through the monitoring of legislation and influencing of governmental decisions on behalf of the interests of our members. This committee provides a basis for the Chamber to act on local, state, and federal governmental issues and evaluate political candidates.
This month: The Chamber's Government Affairs team is proud to welcome Escondido Police Chief Ed Varso as our special guest. Chief Varso has been at the helm of the Police Department since the beginning of 2020, and is a 20+ year veteran with the department. He will be discussing some of the challenges the department faced during the pandemic, how they focus on a community-based model via engagement, a commitment to trust, and creating enduring partnerships.
In addition, we'll be joined by Jennings Imel, the Executive Director of the US Chamber of Commerce's Western Regional Office. He will give an overview of the National Chamber of Commerce, how the organization assists businesses, and how businesses can benefit from being members.
Please join us, IN-PERSON, for another important discussion about your Escondido community! This event is made possible by Banner Bank.
