DESCRIPTION:Join us for this month's government affairs meeting!\n\nThe Chamber's Government Affairs Committee works to create and sustain a favorable business environment in which all businesses can grow and prosper through the monitoring of legislation and influencing of governmental decisions on behalf of the interests of our members. This committee provides a basis for the Chamber to act on local\, state\, and federal governmental issues and evaluate political candidates.\n\n\n\nThis month: City Council Member Christian Garcia District 3\n\n \n\nChristian Garcia is a San Diego native. He was raised in North County San Diego and has always called this area home. He is the son of Mexican parents and the fourth of five children. His family has always taught him to love this country\, take advantage of the opportunities that are presented\, and in return\, serve the community which has offered him so much.\n\n \n\nAfter coming back home from the Peace Corps in 2011\, Christian received his masters degree in public policy from USC. He worked for two years through grad school in international logistics\, then worked in data and supply chain for several years after. He returned to North County San Diego in 2015\, where he has worked as a teacher.\n\n \n\nIn 2020 he got elected onto the Palomar College Board\, was appointed onto the Escondido Council in 2022\, and was elected onto the city council in 2024. \n\n\n\n\n\nOur lunch sponsor is
