DESCRIPTION:Join us for this month's government affairs meeting!\n\n  \n\nThe Chamber's Government Affairs Committee works to create and sustain a favorable business environment in which all businesses can grow and prosper through the monitoring of legislation and influencing of governmental decisions on behalf of the interests of our members. This committee provides a basis for the Chamber to act on local\, state\, and federal governmental issues and evaluate political candidates.\n\n\n\nThis month: \n\n\n\nOur guest speaker is\,  Chairman Steve Cope\, of the San Pasqual Mission Band of Indians.  Stephen worked for the United Parcel Service for 28 years 25 of those years as a delivery driver until 2005 when he retired.\n\n\n\nHe went to work for the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians in 2003 as the chairman of the land assignment committee\, who overall the reservation boundaries and residential boundary lines.\n\n\n\nIn 2006 he was selected to the Gaming commission and was a compliance officer for the tribe gaming operation.  As a compliance officer\, he made sure that all the employees were background and licensed to work inside the casino and held this job for three years until 2010 when he became the Tribal employees\, rights officer in short TERO my job was to create employment\, opportunities for families on and off the reservation.     \n\n\n\nOur lunch sponsor is Mr. Bill Wilson
