The Chamber's Government Affairs Committee works to create and sustain a favorable business environment in which all businesses can grow and prosper through the monitoring of legislation and influencing of governmental decisions on behalf of the interests of our members. This committee provides a basis for the Chamber to act on local, state, and federal governmental issues and evaluate political candidates.
This month: The Greater Escondido Chamber of Commerce and our Government Affairs team are proud to welcome the new San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk, Jordan Marks.
In this position he assists taxpayers with navigating issues in the office, leads the office’s countywide award-winning educational outreach programs, and corrects systemic issues. Jordan was recognized as a “San Diego County Taxpayer Watchdog” for his innovative programs that helped make San Diego County the #1 Assessor office in California for helping disabled veteran homeowners, seniors, and for writing the law that expanded property tax relief for wildfire survivors and victims of natural disasters.
