About
Assistance League is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization actively involved in enriching the lives of children and adults in our community. We believe that when essential needs are met, families flourish. Our Chapter offers 9 service programs. We help children in need from kindergarten through high school through Operation School Bell. Last year we provided new school clothing to over 1600 children, and our scholarship program awarded over $110,000 to local graduates in 2017. We also work to meet community needs such as providing defibrillators to local police and support for our military families. Our other programs focus on literacy, comfort to those in crises and support for our teens.
Our Thrift Shop in Escondido provides a large portion of the money we need for our Programs but not all. We are very proud that we are an all-volunteer organization with no paid employees. -
